Ignous drones supported rescue works in the north

During the last days of January and the first days of February, the north of our country suffered the scourge of nature. A storm that left more than 1200 homes affected and ended the lives of several Chilean citizens.

In emergencies like these, the ability to respond is very important. That’s why our drones not only collect data, but also play critical roles to help in critical situations.

Part of our preventive video surveillance team participated in various tasks to support the police units for the rescue of missing persons, making flyovers to measure the impact of the disaster. “There are sectors in which searching by helicopter would involve too great distances and we believe that with drones we have greater accessibility and connectivity”, said the Mayor of the Antofagasta Region, Marco Antonio Díaz.

Our challenge

For us, this has been an experience that has left us many lessons and has made us demonstrate why our service is one of the best in the market. “The opportunity to work as a RPAS pilot for the Preventive Video Surveillance project for the II Region of Antofagasta has been a unique experience that has allowed me to fully demonstrate my capabilities. It has given me the opportunity to be a contribution to public safety, working in conjunction with organizations such as Carabineros, PDI, the Navy, among others, as well as supporting search and rescue missions and providing an aerial view for the authorities at the time of a catastrophe”, explains one of our operators.

Next, we leave you with some images of our operations together with the authorities.
